For TotalEnergies, this means it will be able to maintain all of its exploration, production, refining and chemicals assets on a single platform, minimizing downtime and maximizing profitability by reducing management costs and extending their lifespan. Once fully implemented, over 13,500 users globally will be able to perform asset maintenance.
This strategic implementation is the foundation of TotalEnergie’s EAM project, which will streamline asset management and service on a single platform and integrate with TotalEnergie’s future ERP solution.
High-Class IFS Solutions for the Cloud and AI Side
IFS was not the first to come out with either a cloud platform or AI, but once it was launched, it was full speed ahead and today it is characterized by analysts, such as CIMdata, as one of the market’s more cutting-edge solutions in both respects. Incidentally, IFS Cloud can be noted that it is a fully composable AI-driven platform, designed for ultimate flexibility and adaptability to specific customer requirements and business development. It covers the needs of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), EAM, SCM (Supply Chain Management) and FSM.
In previous articles, PLM&ERP News has reported on how IFS technology leverages AI, machine learning, real-time data and analytics to empower its customers to make informed strategic decisions and excel in their Moment of Service.
The company’s solutions currently have around 1.2 million individual users, making it a global top player with over 7,000 employees in 80 countries.

”IFS’ AI is Like a Turbo on Pure Business Logic”
In the article, PLM&ERP News editor-in-chief, Verdi Ogewell, writes that the cloud drives IFS’ BUSINESS SUCCESS – and that they have proactively set their sights on AI. He discusses this with IFS’ ANN-KRISTIN SANDER (on the right in the picture), MARTIN GUNNARSSON (in the middle) and DAN MATTHEWS (on the left above).
”Perhaps the most central themes in the development of business and technology systems today are AI, automation, migration to the cloud and sustainability. Every developer with a strong winning instinct tops the agenda with these areas in a time when the possibilities of technology are literally exploding. Development suits some better, others not just as good, but for IFS it fits like a glove, stated the head of the company’s Nordic operations, Ann-Kristin Sander,” writes Ogewell.
