New Digital Sustainability Tool: IFS Releases Cloud Module for CO2 Management and Starts Collaboration with Climatiq

…combines IFS' strength in AI with CLIMATIQ's SHARP CALCULATION ENGINE for carbon dioxide emissions. Sustainability issues continue to be at the center as one of today's most important parameters in product development and corporate administrative work. A central point in this is establishing effective digital tools. Swedish ERP developer IFS has long had these pieces on the table and has developed its own solutions as well as in collaboration with partners.
The latter includes today's announcement from IFS that it has entered into a collaboration with Climatiq, which has developed a leading platform for calculating and managing carbon dioxide emissions. The collaboration runs in parallel with IFS' launch of the new module for emissions management in IFS Cloud and strengthens IFS' work to integrate sustainability directly into customers' core business. The new module allows companies to make well-founded decisions based on their own emissions data. The fact that Climatiq's agenda is seen as extremely important is confirmed not least by the fact that it managed to raise over 100 million from investors in a financing round this June.
IFS Nordic Head, Ann-Kristin Sander, points out in a comment that IFS Cloud now integrates Climatiq's calculation engine and extensive database, which enables automatic and accurate emissions calculations directly from the business system and that this move combines IFS's strength in AI with Climatiq's advanced solutions for carbon dioxide calculation.
"The requirements for sustainability are constantly changing and our customers need to be able to adapt to these changes quickly. By integrating Climatiq's verified emission factors directly into IFS Cloud, we help our customers incorporate sustainability into their business processes. In this way, they can adapt faster, gain clear climate insights and make better business decisions," she notes, adding that this gives companies sharp tools to take active responsibility for climate impact while maintaining high efficiency.
In general, it can be noted that hundreds of software providers for supply chain management, ERP and ESG use Climatiq's API to integrate carbon metrics directly into their tools, so that their customers can measure their carbon footprint, make informed decisions and drive meaningful emission reductions.
In connection with the collaboration, IFS and Climatiq have also published a joint report entitled "IFS Cloud: Carbon Emissions Scope 3 Overview and Statement of Direction". The joint report shows how integrated sustainability solutions in IFS Cloud can transform data from the business into concrete and actionable climate insights.
