IT CONSULTANTS: TCS Opens New Innovation Hub in Stockholm, Sweden

The global Indian IT consultant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will soon open the innovation hub TCS Pace Studio in Stockholm. The idea is to offer TCS Nordic customers access to the company's ecosystem for innovation. TCS thereby strengthens its strong position on the Swedish market, where it opened in 1991. A clear proof of the company's successful establishment here is that it has been ranked number one in customer satisfaction for 15 years in a row by independent surveys and has also been named a top employer in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark by the Top Employers Institute. Currently, over 20,000 TCS employees work with leading companies in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark, driving growth and transformation for some of the region's top multinationals in sectors such as finance, telecom and technology.
The new TCS Pace Studio Stockholm is located in the Epicenter House of Innovation, a meeting arena for over 600 technology companies and entrepreneurs. The geographic location enables TCS to engage with the local business community's business challenges and goals. The innovation hub, claims TCS, "will enable companies to explore the latest technology solutions and deploy them at scale to accelerate their digital transformation journeys."
“We are delighted to welcome TCS' innovation hub to Epicenter. TCS's new Pace Studio is an excellent example of our mission as an innovation house to promote collaboration between companies and forward-looking leaders in the Swedish business world," says Oskar Gillström, country manager for Epicenter Stockholm.
Notably, the TCS Pace Studio in Stockholm is the fourth globally and the first in the Nordics. The studio is part of the TCS Pace innovation network, which includes three other Pace Studios as well as seven Pace Ports of which three are located in Europe (Amsterdam, London and Paris). The TCS Pace Studio concept is tailored for emerging markets with a strong local ecosystem for innovation.
"TCS Pace Studio represents our continued commitment to creating innovation hubs that invite collaboration in close proximity to our customers. The TCS Pace Studio in Stockholm will enable Swedish organizations to collaborate with the TCS research and innovation network to develop new solutions across a wide range of disciplines, at a fast pace and at scale,” says dr Harrick Vin, CTO, Chief Technology Officer, at TCS.

Generally, it can be noted that the innovation hubs in the network benefit from TCS’s methodology, global insights, research, intellectual property rights and the company’s Co-Innovation Network (COIN), which promotes collaboration between local startups, entrepreneurs and academia. These innovation hubs offer companies a dedicated space to work with TCS experts to rapidly develop and launch new digital products and services at scale.

”TCS’s new Pace Studio is an excellent example of our mission as an innovation house to promote collaboration between companies and forward-looking leaders in the Swedish business community,” says Oskar Gillström, country manager for Epicenter Stockholm.

Promoting startup cultures
The goal of a TCS Pace Studio is to foster a startup culture and act as an incubator for problem solving and innovation for businesses. In Stockholm, customers will be offered comprehensive opportunities including consultation, design and implementation. This enables TCS clients in the region to explore and develop new offerings, create demos and refine their models and strategies.

The TCS Pace Studio in Stockholm is further proof of the company’s commitment to supporting the Swedish business community and the technological ecosystem, which contributes to the country’s vision of being a leader in sustainability and technological innovation. Sweden was ranked second in the world for innovation in the Wipos Global Innovation Index 2023.

”Sweden is one of Europe’s fastest growing business environments with a long tradition of innovation and investment in technology. Establishing our TCS Pace Studio in Stockholm represents our commitment to meaningfully contribute to regional and Nordic growth and economic prosperity. We are excited to be part of this thriving innovation ecosystem and to together create solutions with new and sustainable technologies that drive growth, resilience and create constant adaptability in companies,” says Shreerang Talekar, head of TCS in Sweden and the Nordics.
