PLM Consultant TECHNIA Takes Off to New Heights

Becomes part of the WORLD'S FASTEST GROWING ECOSYSTEM in the SPACE SECTOR. For players who want to be part of cutting-edge development loops within PLM, it is important to be consistently alert and seek new paths. Swedish PLM consultant TECHNIA is largely characterized by such ambitions, an endeavor that has led to the Addnode-owned company today being Dassault Systemes' leading global VAR (Value Added Reseller). In 2024, TECHNIA's sales amounted to nearly $200 million. In general, the company is of course highly competent in Dassault solutions, where implementation and efficient operation of complex CAD environments have always been significant strengths. This with software such as DS' classic CATIA and the mainstream program SOLIDWORKS, as well as the broad PLM platform 3DEXPERIENCE. In addition to this, TECHNIA has also invested heavily in the simulation side.
The examples of initiatives taken by the management of the Addnode group, led by CEO Johan Andersson and TECHNIA CEO, Magnus Falkman, are many. During 2024-2025, PLM&ERP News has reported on, among other things, the purchase and integration of Austrian PRIME Aerostructures, qualified specialists in, for example, aircraft structures. Or the acquisition of American Workflow Informatics’ DS-related operations; specializing in scientific informatics and Dassault Systèmes' BIOVIA solution in particular.
Regarding simulation, we also recently reported that TECHNIA UK's Claytex will lead a collaborative project - Sim4CAMSens2, which deals with simulation technology around safety for autonomous vehicles around sensor modeling and validation.
Now in September, another interesting venture came: TECHNIA has entered into a new strategic technology partnership: Together with Space Network, the world's fastest growing ecosystem in the space sector, TECHNIA will spread TECHNIA's world-leading expertise in design, simulation and lifecycle management to Space Network members worldwide, with hubs in the UK, USA, Greece, and other locations. By making advanced functions available, the partnership will enable space companies of all sizes to design, validate and secure investments faster.
"By connecting network members with TECHNIA's exceptional knowledge and tools, they can accelerate innovation, reduce time to market and sharpen competitiveness. This in everything from satellite components and mission-critical software architectures to next-generation habitats and spacesuits," sums up TECHNIA's head, Magnus Falkman.
While the founder and CEO of Space Network, Andy Campbell, emphasizes that the global space sector has great commercial opportunities, which can benefit TECHNIA.

Ultimately, TECHNIA’s participation in Space Networks will accelerate innovation, reduce costs and risks and strengthen the commercial case for funding and approval of missions.
In addition to the partnership underlining TECHNIA’s mission to support sustainable innovation across industries, Falkman believes that the venture is also about a potential to take advantage of the big money that the industry is expected to invest in space-related activities in the coming years:
“Absolutely, with a space economy expected to reach $1.8 trillion by 2035, an interconnected ecosystem is crucial to ensuring that new companies can access the same groundbreaking tools and opportunities that have traditionally only been available to established companies,” he notes.

A connected ecosystem is crucial to ensuring that new companies can access the same groundbreaking tools and opportunities that have traditionally only been available to established companies,” says TECHNIA’s chief Magnus Falkman.

Offers Major Commercial Opportunities
The founder and CEO of Space Network, Andy Campbell, also points out in a comment that this partnership reflects the major commercial opportunities of the global space sector, which can benefit the Swedish PLM consultant.
“Exactly, by connecting our members with TECHNIA’s exceptional knowledge and tools, we enable companies to achieve what is today a pervasive industry mantra: Accelerate innovation, reduce time to market and strengthen competitiveness. It is a strategic alignment that will benefit our entire ecosystem.”

TECHNIA’s new business consultant, Bruce Posten, is on the same track:
“The space sector is evolving rapidly, and collaboration is key to unlocking its full potential. Partnering with Space Network allows us to bring our passion, expertise and solutions to a global community that shares our commitment to progress. Together, we can help organizations innovate faster and contribute to a thriving, internationally connected space economy.”

A Dynamic Hub
About Space Network, it can be noted that it was founded in 2023 and has quickly grown into a dynamic hub for all things space-related. The network is committed to fostering international collaboration and driving innovation at scale. Its mission is simple but powerful: to promote the commercial growth of the global space sector and integrate space technology into all industries.

Space Network builds ecosystems and the support the organization provides is based on three core pillars: Support, Connection and Funding.
“We provide tailored business guidance, meaningful connections between talent, suppliers and intelligent financing solutions to empower space companies to innovate, scale and thrive,” says Andy Campbell.
